Developing successful students and strong families
"Dr. Sheppard (Will) met our teen son where he was at, at a time when many of our own efforts just didn't seem to be working. He earned our son's trust, helped him face his challenges honestly, and checked any patterns of false thinking along the way. During sessions, Dr. Sheppard helped him identify and employ tools/skills/behaviors that would help him moving forward into the next week and month - eventually building critical self, relationship and time/task management skills for his adult life. As a parent, I was always relieved to know that my son was working with Will and that we as a family were not alone. The professionalism combined with the flexibility in meeting times and locations really worked for our son in a way that other more traditional counseling styles and settings had not. I am happy to say that today our young adult son is thriving and experiencing the fruits of all his efforts. He holds Dr. Sheppard in high regard, as do we. "
